Integrating FAIR Data PrinciPLES
Our platform is evolving to speak the same language as the global genomics community. We are integrating the EMBL-EBI Ontology Lookup Service (OLS) — bringing direct access to the Human Phenotype Ontology (HPO) and MONDO disease ontology. This means every phenotype and diagnosis you record will be:
- Standardized to global biomedical ontologies
- Interoperable with tools like Phenopackets and FHIR Genomics
- Following FAIR Data Principals, meaning it is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable
Free text input stays and now it is enhanced with real-time ontology suggestions, ensuring your terms remain human-readable and machine-actionable.

We believe that scientific research should not be limited by geography. Pedigree Tool is designed to be affordable for research and educational use, with equitable pricing that reflects regional context and supports institutions in low- and lower-middle income countries. As we move out of beta, our pricing will reflect our commitment to equitable access. While advanced clinical features are still in development, our immediate focus is on delivering an accessible platform for research and education. As the platform evolves, our development and pricing strategy will continue to prioritize global access and inclusivity.
Pricing and Licences
Currently, Pedigree Tool is in a free beta period – no credit card needed. All users who sign up before January 1, 2026, receive full, unlimited access at no cost. The following license plans will take effect in 2026.
